BM DRCOG MRCGP MFFLM Qualified at Southampton University Medical School in 1986. He was registered in 1987. He trained for general practice in the Southampton area. He joined the practice in November 1990. He is the Medical Officer at Haslar Immigration & Removal Centre. He is married with two children.

Dr Sabine Bohmer (f)

State Medical Practitioner,MD,DRCOG,,MRCGP qualified in Germany in 1996. Dr Bohmer came to England in 1997 where she trained in General Practice. She then worked as a GP partner in Kent and Fareham before joining this practice in April 2010. She is married with one child.

Dr Teresa Deacon (f)

Dr Deacon qualified from the University of Medical Sciences in Poznan, Poland in 2001. She moved to the UK in 2002. In 2008 she completed her General Practice training in the Portsmouth area. She joined Brune Medical Centre in October 2011. She is married with two children

Nurses

Our practice nurses can be seen by appointment. They run clinics for asthma, diabetes and hypertension as well as undertaking dressings, immunisations, health screening and giving contraceptive advice. They also give advice on promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Practice Manager If you have any questions about administration of non-medical aspects of your health care, do ask our practice manager.

Mrs Emma O'Brien (f)
Emma is the Practice Manager. She has been a valued member of staff at the practice for nine years and will be happy to deal with any of your non clinical queries.

Reception

Our receptionists are trained to do this very difficult job. They have been instructed to ask some questions; this is to judge the urgency of your request and ensure that you receive the most appropriate appointment for your problem.

Please try to give them the information that they require. They are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors and nurses.

Community Midwives

Our midwives run the antenatal clinics, manage deliveries and visit mothers and babies during the first ten days after delivery.

Community Nurses

The district nurses are registered nurses who have undertaken further training. They provide skilled nursing care for patients living in the community. They can be contacted on 023 9250 5280

Health Visitors

Our health visitors are qualified nurses with midwifery experience who have taken further training to obtain the Health Visiting Certificate. As advisors on child care and family problems, they work in the community with the family doctors. They are notified of births and visit from the fourteenth day after birth. They maintain contact thereafter by further home visits and through the child health clinics:

Noticeboard

Appointments
Routine appointments are usually from 8.30 to 10.30am and 4.00 to 6.00pm. These appointments are made via the receptionist, either in person or over the phone

Home Visits
Requests for home visits should be made by telephoning Gosport 023 9279 4179 between 8.30 and 10.30am if at all possible. This timing enables the doctors to plan their rounds.

Test Results
It is an important safeguard for you to check the result of any test you are asked to have. Ask your doctor or nurse how long the result will take to come back to the practice, then please ring for results after 11.30am
